SP122 Plastic Scintillators
SP122 plastic scintillators are specifically engineered for the detection of low-energy gamma rays. Fundamentally, the SP122 is built upon an SP101 plastic scintillator base, enhanced with a specialized surface coating of silver-activated zinc sulfide, ZnS(Ag), at a carefully controlled thickness of 8 to 10 mg/cm². This unique configuration enables the SP122 to effectively detect gamma radiation with energies as low as 40 keV. At Atr Crystal, we utilize an advanced spraying process to apply this coating, ensuring exceptional surface homogeneity and optical uniformity. We proudly supply SP122 plastic scintillators in a wide variety of custom shapes to seamlessly meet your specific application requirements.
